Salary: £30 – 33k (experience dependent) 

About We Are Placemaking  

We Are Placemaking are experts in creative placemaking and work alongside both public and private sector organisations within the property, retail, and public realms. We animate spaces through live experiences and deliver World-class experiences for customers and communities. We are a specialist creative and strategic placemaking agency powered by over 20 years’ worth of award-winning event production experience in our sister agency, The Fair.  

We often work with our clients before practical completion at the planning stages of their schemes, to help inform meanwhile use. We advise on transforming locations into event-ready sites, exploring the feasibility for activity and curation. 

We support clients such as Argent, Brookfield, Landsec, Hammerson, Grosvenor Estates, and numerous City Councils and Boroughs. We have an expert team with various backgrounds from Creative Production, Event Planning & Management, Health & Safety, Fabrication and Visual Merchandising. 

We Are Placemaking is part of the WeGroup, which includes sister agencies 

The Fair and OPS, both of which work closely with We Are Placemaking.

Job Specification  

Reporting to: Senior Producer  

Role: We are looking for a new Event Producer to join our in-house events team. The role would be based in Hoxton, London and would be a mix between office-based work and on-site work building and running events. The role would suit someone from a creative and live event background looking to join a team with a family feel. 

A person suitable for the role should feel confident managing their own events and client relationships across private and public sector organisations within the property, retail and public realm liaising with the council and suppliers. They will report directly to the Senior Management Team and be responsible for several of their own projects. 

Responsibilities: ·  

  • Client management and liaison – regular updates, expectation management and debriefing.  
  • Budget management for multiple projects.  
  • Procurement of suppliers, artists and appropriate use of staff. 
  • Invoicing  
  • Clear and accurate scheduling of an events programme including the build and derig. 
  • Working with the OPS & Safety team to ensure the smooth running of events. 
  • Debriefing appropriately with suppliers, internal team members and clients post event. 
  • Keeping and storing all logs and audit trails post event.  
  • Contribute creative ideas and concepts during the proposal stage.  
  • Producing presentations and pitching them to prospective clients. 

Person Specification  

Essential:  

  • Knowledge and passion for the Property Industry in terms of events and creative placemaking. 
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Excellent time management. 
  • Experience in producing live events and activations 
  • Ability to handle ongoing client and supplier relationships on behalf of We Are Placemaking. 
  • Confidence in pitching to current and prospective clients. 
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. 

Desirable:  

  • AutoCAD Knowledge  
  • First Aid at Work  
  • Full clean driver’s license
