Introduction

Quintain is a regeneration specialist developer responsible for delivering Wembley Park – a major creative district, residential neighbourhood and visitor destination for London. The 85 acre development includes a wide variety of stores, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, as well as a cinema, The SSE Arena, and London’s largest Boxpark.

What we did

The Quintain team were looking for an experienced agency to curate a free event that appealed to a London wide audience, looking into immersive Christmas experiences, music, pop ups and interactive art & light installations. The event was also to be over a long period, starting in late November and running up to Christmas.

Having produced many other London placemaking projects before, as well as placemaking projects across the UK and further afield, the We Are Placemaking team were keen to get involved with Quintain’s placemaking project.

Deliverables

We Are Placemaking installed the Silvana Maze – an immersive light maze with sound scape for a destination lead, day to night, engaging installation within the public realm. We also created a pathway of light up cubes running up Olympic Way to tie in with the Boxpark launch, and illuminate the walkway as part of the Christmas Box campaign.
