Introduction

We Are Placemaking were commissioned by ANM Communications on behalf of Bloomberg LP to deliver Wine Car Boot. Bloomberg opened the arcade, breathing new life into the city and putting the nine independent restaurants and public art on the map. With a pedestrianised haven We Are Placemaking have supported the economic growth with the activating the arcade earlier on in the year with Wimbledon, and now with Wine Car Boot, creating a vibrant destination for those who work, visit or live there nearby.

Challenge

The challenge with this event was to bring in visitors to the city mile over the weekend and to increase dwell time for visitors at the event. We delivered 22 individual units that were bespoke for the arcade and for this event.  There were around 18 wine traders who set up shop to sell a number of different wines to visitors.
